On Monday evening, March 25, Arizona Glass Alliance will very happily host a presentation by the glass artist Sarah Vaughn. Sarah’s work is becoming more and more recognized and appreciated both for its craftsmanship as well as emotional content. Sarah is presently the resident artist at the Penland School, having previously also served at several other glass institutions, including many years as summer staff at Pilchuck. Her work has been exhibited at galleries nationwide, including the Ken Saunders Gallery in Chicago and the Winterowd Gallery in Santa Fe.
Sarah has explored the material of glass for the past eighteen years, using it to create sculptures and installations that resonate with the intensity of her own search for meaning, and often, the work is deeply expressive, unabashedly personal, and self-reflective.
