On Friday evening, February 20, Bonner David Galleries, which is a member gallery of Arizona Glass Alliance, will host a presentation by artist David Gordon at their gallery in old town Scottsdale. David is a 40-year practicing artist, whose works include sculpture, water features, public art installations and porcelain mosaics, as well as glass. He has created over two miles of handmade mosaics for the New York City subway system, two murals for the Coney Island Aquarium and original porcelain work for W hotels.

David says this about his work: “I was a porcelain artist for over 30 years and created public art pieces, sculptures and murals during that time…. I now work mostly in glass creating freestanding sculptures, pushing the boundaries of the medium and experimenting to see how glass works…. As if to seize upon one’s experience of seeing a sunrise … glass gives me an opportunity to create an environment and hold the state and quality of that environment in my glass pieces.”
