On Monday evening, November 14, Arizona Glass Alliance will proudly present a very special event when three of our own artist members, Bandhu Dunham, Pat Isaacson and Austin Littenberg will each do a short presentation on themselves and their work. These three artists were chosen at random from the artist members who applied for this event, and in the future we’ll have the opportunity to showcase more.

Bandhu Dunham is an internationally respected flamework artist, educator and teacher whose books on the subject are the authoritative standard. Bandhu’s work is in museums around the world, including the Corning and the Museum of Glass, and he’s known for his whimsical kinetic sculptures as well as his spheres and goblets.

Pat Isaacson, who is a long time member and active supporter of Arizona Glass Alliance, has what she calls a “love affair with glass”. With a degree in Mathematics and a career working with computers, Pat will demonstrate how her technical experience shows up in her fused glass work. Pat’s work is shown in several galleries and museums around Arizona, and in addition Pat teaches the art of creating art from glass to many aspiring new glass artists.

Austin Littenberg is co-owner of The Melting Point in Sedona, which is one of our member galleries. Before moving to Arizona in 2015 Austin worked at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Glass Pavilion. Here in Arizona Austin has become keenly aware of the natural world around all of us, and his most recent work explores abstracted forms of birds in their many sizes and colors.

Images of pieces by Bandhu, Pat and Austin are shown below.
