Matthew Fine Presentation & End of Season

Monday, April 17 7:00 PM Scottsdale Ranch Clubhouse 10585 N. 100th St. Scottsdale, AZ

On Monday evening, April 17, Arizona Glass Alliance will proudly host a presentation by the noted glass and stone sculptor, Matthew Fine. Matthew, who hails from Norfolk, Virginia, is a very multi-talented individual. In addition to his work as a sculptor, which Matthew has pursued for the last 30 years, Matthew is also a successful real estate developer and film maker. His most recent film “Art Show Bingo” is a romantic comedy that has a lot of Matthew in it, since it’s about a talented young artist who leaves the family business of self storage warehouses (one on Matthew’s businesses), to pursue a career as an artist, but his success is threatened by the well intentioned interference of his twin brother (Matthew has a brother and he and his wife have twin boys). Matthew is also the owner of Okay Spark Gallery in Norfolk, which has independently exhibited at SOFA, Art Palm Beach and other venues.

As you’ll see from the image below, Matthew’s cast glass and stone sculptures are very strong, combining materials, shape and color to create an integrated work of great interest. They also tend to be quite good size and will dominate any room or setting with their presence. I’m sure you will enjoy getting to know Matthew and his work. View more on: VisitFine.com.

Since this will be our last event of the 2016-17 season we’re expanding our refreshments to include both desert and appetizer items, and we’re also starting a bit earlier at 7 instead of 7:30 to give ourselves the time to enjoy the goodies and socialize with each other. Although not required, we would welcome the opportunity to sample your favorite homemade desert or appetizer. If you’d like to bring one please contact Anne Falvey, who is chairing this event. Anne’s number is 480-922-9797, or you can Email Anne. This promises to be a fun filled evening all around.
