Karen Bexfield Presentation

Monday, December 5, 2016 7:30 PM Stonegate  Clubhouse 11551 E. Mountain View Rd. Scottsdale, AZ

Karen’s sculptures are in the collections of several museums, including the Corning and the Palm Springs Museum, and she describes her work this way: “Within me my artwork evokes a sense of tranquility, a reflection of nature’s organic patterns, a balance of simple geometry and pure chance. My sculptures are delicate in appearance but strong in form; they capture life’s spontaneity. The interplay of color, shape and movement speaks to the raw yet purposeful unpredictability of nature, while the weaving of light cast shadows that intrigue, creating art within art.” An image of one of Karen’s current pieces is shown below, and for more information about Karen please check her gallery’s website, www.fineartsantafe.com.

When not creating her art Karen is an avid hiker, both in her native New Mexico as well as the top of the world on Mt. Kilimanjaro and the bottom of the Grand Canyon. For this presentation Karen will be accompanied by the owner of her gallery, Karla Winterowd of the Winterowd Fine Art Gallery, Santa Fe.
