As our final event of the 2020-21 Covid-impaired virtual season, Arizona Glass Alliance is happy to once again partner with La Guilde of Montreal to host a presentation by the noted Canadian cast glass artist Donald Robertson.
Donald Robertson’s work has been exhibited in galleries in the U.S. and Canada, as well as Europe and Asia, and can be found in many museum, corporate and private collections. Recognized for his masterful and distinctive approach to lost wax glass casting, his sculptures reference history and mythology and explore the links between the material and spiritual.
His professional practice also focuses on teaching and he is one of the principal teachers at Espace Verre, a glass program in Montreal. Teaching there since 1989, his pedagogy includes kiln casting and cold working glass as well as the technical aspects of the medium.
