Brianna Barron Presentation

December 21, 2015 7:30 PM Stonegate Clubhouse 11551 E. Mountain View Rd. Scottsdale, AZ

On Monday evening, December 21, Arizona Glass Alliance will host a presentation by the young, up and coming glass artist, Brianna Barron. Brianna has pursued her education in glass at Pilchuck, Penland and the Oxbow School in Michigan, and her work has been exhibited at the Ken Saunders gallery in Chicago. In addition, Brianna has worked as a glassblower at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit and has completed the assistantship program at the Chrysler Museum. Brianna is currently completing graduate studies at Bowling Green University where she will receive her MFA in 2016.

Brianna’ work, which exhibits a very organic feeling, is often composed of a number of joined elements which form a cohesive whole. Her use of glass to create non-traditional, sometimes flexible, forms represents an interesting new use of the medium, one that pushes the boundaries of glass as a sculptural material. An image of one of Brianna’s recent pieces is shown below, and to see more of her work visit her website, www.briannabarron.com.

You’ll find Brianna to be a very interesting new face in the glass world, and to learn more about her and her work be sure to sign up for this event, which will begin at 7:30 PM and will be held at our traditional location, the Stonegate clubhouse at 11551 E. Mountain View Road in Scottsdale.
