In partnership with Milkweed Studio, which is run by our member Warren Norgaard, Arizona Glass Alliance is very proud to host a presentation by a boundary breaking multi-media artist, Carrie Iverson. Originally from Virginia, Carrie received her BA from Yale and her MFA from the Art Institute in Chicago. Carrie is particularly known for her site specific installations which incorporate many materials such as glass, print, found objects and video.
Carrie’s work is in major museums around the country such as the Art Institute in Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She has been a frequent teacher or artist in residence at studios and museums around the world including Pilchuck and the Pittsburgh Glass Center, as well as Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Scotland, Japan, Canada and of course our own Milkweed Studio.
This event is on Sunday evening, Dec. 4, and will begin with a light supper at 5:30 followed by Carrie’s presentation at 7 PM, and is open to currently paid members of Arizona Glass Alliance.
