We're going to Philadelphia on a great, fun filled trip in 2026. We'll stay at the beautiful Hyatt Centric hotel at Rittenhouse Square in central Philadelphia ($219 plus tax per night single or double) and have three wonderful days and four nights together. Highlights we've arranged so far include visits to four leading artists in their studios:
Jen Blazina, who is an old friend of Arizona Glass Alliance, and creates wonderful cast glass sculptures, typified by her glass purse.

Amber Cowan, a leading glass and mixed media sculptor very well known for her delicate, ceramic-like sculptures exemplified by the pink floral wall sculpture.
James Labold, another friend of Arizona Glass Alliance, who creates very strong cast glass sculptures like the twin men.

Judith Schaechter, the leading stained glass artist working in the US today whose work can be found in museums and private collections around the country and overseas. This is one of her stained glass creations.
We'll also have a docent led tour of the world famous Barnes Museum and a tour of the 42 acre Grounds for Sculpture which contains over 300 pieces of modern sculpture and other art located in Hamilton, New Jersey.
A special treat will be visits to at least two and maybe three outstanding private collections in the area.
We'll start with a welcome dinner on Wednesday evening, April 15, and there will be two other dinners, one on Thursday, the 16th, and a farewell dinner on Saturday evening, the 18th. We'll enjoy three lunches together and all transportation will be by private chartered bus. We'll also include all museum admissions and docent fees, and there will be more to come as we finalize the itinerary and the pricing. You'll be able to fly into Philadelphia on Wednesday the 15th in time for dinner and depart anytime on Sunday the 19th.
Members should contact Fred Schomer if interested in participating.
